Beechwoods Software, Inc., was founded in 2005 by high-tech entrepreneur and “rainmaker” Brad Kemp. In April of 2006, Brad identified an opportunity to provide software development services to DIRECTV by assisting them in the development of their satellite set top boxes. DIRECTV responded to Beechwoods Software’s proposal, and became our first customer.
Since then, Beechwoods has grown quickly, developing a reputation for providing technical expertise and cost-effective solutions in the embedded software market. By the fall of 2007, we had outgrown our original office, and moved to our current location on North Washington Street in Boston, MA. Two years later, in response to the needs of our growing customer base on the West Coast, we opened a second office in El Segundo, California.
From its modest roots, Beechwoods, named after our founder’s ancestral homestead, has grown into a global leader in embedded software development. We are also rapidly expanding into media and content delivery and mobile device development. Our highly skilled engineers are known for their creative thinking, quick implementation, and reliability, and we think our tagline says it all: “Innovation, Collaboration, Results.”
