Barnard Capital Partners (“BCP”) is a data-driven investor seeking to acquire and operate a business in Georgia. We take a data-first approach to growing and scaling businesses. Why? Because as software continues to permeate all businesses in all industries, strong data capabilities are what will separate good businesses from great businesses. Building best-of-breed data systems with feedback loops that provide intelligent, actionable insights to business leaders are what is required to excel in today’s digital business environments. Meet Robert!
Robert Murphy founded Barnard Capital Partners in 2018 with the focus on acquiring and operating a business in the Southeast. He combines 17 years of experience in the telecom & technology industries leading and advising companies through building out sales teams, scaling financial operations, mergers & acquisitions, and product development. He is an accomplished leader as both an investment banker and an operator and can bring vision and clarity to complex business problems, craft innovative solutions and lead people to agreement.
Robert has spent the last few years as an executive at SpendHQ and PrimeRevenue serving in leadership roles in finance, sales and product management. Previously, he was an investment banker with Citigroup, Royal Bank of Scotland, Goldman Sachs, SunTrust and Croft & Bender where he completed over $230 billion of M&A, equity capital raises and debt financings for large public, middle and lower middle market companies primarily in the Software, FinTech, Telecom and Technology industries. Robert holds an MBA from the University of Virginia and a BBA in Banking and Finance from the University of Georgia.
When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf. Robert is an active member of Peachtree United Road Methodist. In the community, Robert serves as on the board of the First Tee of Metro Atlanta, TOUR Championship Host Committee member and Co-Chair for SHOTLink Committee for the TOUR Championship at East Lake.
