Apres Ventures is led by Christopher Scales, a private equity investment professional with 14+ years of experience executing acquisitions, add-on investments, and full-cycle exits, primarily within the business and marketing services sector. Over more than a decade at a Chicago-based private equity firm managing over $1 billion in equity commitments, Chris served as deal lead — running due diligence and financing workstreams on more than a dozen platform and add-on transactions, negotiating purchase agreements through to close, and managing lender relationships and covenant compliance across multiple credit facilities. He has also led sale processes on behalf of portfolio companies, from initial marketing through competing bids to definitive agreement. He began his career in investment banking, advising corporate clients on M&A and capital markets transactions, and holds a BA in Economics from Stanford University. Apres Ventures brings that institutional rigor and hands-on deal experience directly to lower middle market acquisitions, backed by committed capital and a network of financing and operating resources.
