The Applied Value Group combines Management Consulting, Private Equity, and Social Impact. The company was founded as the internal change agent for a Swedish conglomerate to challenge boards, drive operational improvements, and change the culture.
Today, Applied Value is an independent adviser to dozens of Fortune 500 clients and a recognized Private Investor. We advise our corporate clients across industries on issues around Strategy and Cost and Capital Efficiency. The firm prides itself on its ROI-driven, Practical, and Hands-on in all areas.
Our Private investments portfolio of ~25 companies has been built over time. Our companies benefit from the firms' experienced team, investment structure (no outside funds), consulting expertise, and expansive network. Invested capital is concentrated on industries we understand well, typically with an industrial focus.
Investments are funded through the Balance Sheet of the management consultancy (similar to a Family Office), which aligns us with companies as there are no pre-defined exit requirements. Our portfolio companies also heavily benefit from the active approach from the members in charge.
The firm is led by Bruce Grant, who is Chairman and CEO. Bruce has experience as CEO of Arthur D. Little North America, Chairman of Tele2, Board Director at Korsnas Packaging, Millicom, and several others. Bruce is also Board Director at several Applied Value portfolio companies.
Applied Value combines the reach of a global firm, with the flexibility of a small boutique. With offices in New York, Stockholm and Shanghai, we service clients and portfolio companies globally.
