The concept behind RPM is very simple. An individual with an illness interacts daily with medical device vitals monitors, in his or her home, in order to monitor key vitals like blood pressure, heart rate, or blood oxygen saturation. These monitors transmit the health vitals data to a healthcare professional, who looks for any sign of relapse, or trends that may indicate an episode of any kind. If a negative trend is spotted, action is taken before an acute reaction occurs.
Alois Medical has developed the people, processes, technology, and information approach necessary to take monitoring chronic illness to a large scale. Alois Medical’s integrated team of highly specialized and clinical individuals work together to orchestrate some of the nation’s largest RPM programs. Each healthcare provider (e.g., Physician Practice, Hospital System) program is managed by a team of experts responsible for success at all levels, from program ROI to patient outcomes. These teams operate out of a purpose-built facility designed to support patients with their health monitoring kits as they are deployed, returned, and re-deployed to patients, and/or support patients, on behalf of a healthcare provider, from a predictive analytics and alerts perspective.
