Originally from Charleston, SC, Aletha grew up in San Diego, CA, where her father was stationed as a Navy officer. She later attended the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, earning a degree in Information Technology while excelling as a volleyball scholarship athlete. As a leader and executive in the banking tech industry, she has managed large-scale organizations, spearheading change and transformation initiatives. Aletha is on the advisory board for Brighter Investing, focused on social justice investment strategies. She helps shape investment approaches focused on economic inclusion and responsible investing. Aletha also serves on the Economics Department Advisory Board at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. She has experience revitalizing affordable housing in North and South Carolina.
