Happy Friday and welcome to another edition of Axial Radar!

In case you hadn’t heard, Squid Game is awesome and M&A is back. 40,000 M&A transactions were completed worldwide in the first 9 months of 2021, by far the highest deal number on record.

The private capital market’s recovery post-pandemic has been nothing short of remarkable. However, the human effort to get those deals over the finish line has been equally, if not more impressive. Lawyers, QoE providers, and junior investment bankers have been swamped, to say the least. Some of our members have anecdotally shared that deals are actually getting held up because service providers are just spread too thin. In this week’s featured Industry Trends article, we take a look at how bankers, specifically, are turning to data and digital tools for relief as deals continue to get done at a record pace.

Our featured buy-side members this week include an SMB-focused acquisition firm, a rapidly growing cellular concrete product manufacturer, and an investment management firm founded by partners who have managed assets totaling more than $35B. On the sell-side we’ll introduce you to a fintech advisory firm and an investment bank focused on the food and beverage industry.
