TMS BioScience Labs is a private laboratory operating to provide modern clinical tandem mass spectrometry testing for clients. The founder and staff have years of experience in performing clinical LC-MS/MS testing having tested over 250,000 samples to date. The CLIA lab provides therapeutic drug monitoring of immunosuppressants for organ transplant programs. In addition, the founder, Pleasant Hooper MD, developed HomeTrak (pat.pend.) - a system of at-home sampling /central lab processing for transplant patients which allows patients to forego numerous trips for blood draws in monitoring their immunosuppressant levels. HomeTrak also provides clinical information of kidney function liver function, and complete blood count - all on a small volume blood smaple obtained by fingerstick at-home. TMS BioScience Labs also perform contract research projects for universities and biotech firms. TMS BioScience Labs has capacity of UPLC separation of compounds by Waters Acquity system, triple quadrupole mass spectometer (Waters) detection, Clinical Chemistry testing (Alfa Wassermann), Sysmex blood analysis, and an Exacta sample stability platform for time & temperature testing of sample integrity under simulated shipping conditions. In addition, TMS BioScience has a quantitative real time PCR system (AB Sciex 7500) for qRT-PCR testing of organ transplant viral loads for BK viremia and JC viremia. Reseach & development of novel qPCR protocols are under way as well.
