Company Overview Tivix is a software consulting firm headquartered in Silicon Valley (San Francisco), with additional offices in New York City, the Pacific Northwest (Portland), and Europe (Wroclaw).
Company Focus Our primary focus is the agile development of web, cloud, and mobile applications. We reduce development risk for our clients by using agile methodology and standards-based code to get digital platforms to market quickly.
Client Mix Our clients are a mix of Fortune 1000 enterprises (Apple, Bayer, Microsoft), newly-funded ventures (CloudVelox, WikiRealty, SwiftStack), and large NGO’s (World Food Program, The European Commission). We are happy to provide relevant references upon request.
Technologies While we use many different technologies to meet clients’ needs, our core stack usually includes MySQL/PostgreSQL, and Django/Python on the back-end, plus AngularJS/Bootstrap on the front-end (this is the same technology stack used by many leading applications today, including Instagram, Pinterest, and more). For mobile applications we use native iOS (Objective-C) and Android (Java), integrated with RESTful API’s.
Engagement Length A typical engagement with Tivix is a 1-2 week design sprint and prototyping, followed by 4-8 months of full-scale application development. We then continue to iterate upon and support the application, and/or transition to the client’s internal team anytime.
Digital Innovation We’ve developed a unique process at Tivix that drives innovation through rapid prototyping, iterative development, and agile DevOps. Our process includes aspects of the Google Ventures Design Sprint and Stanford’s d.school methodology.
