Pelletco was formed in 2010 to reduce reliance on fossil fuels. Recognizing the need for cleaner, local, more efficient, and more sustainable thermal energy production, Pelletco’s vision is making energy local by utilizing regionally sourced raw materials such as wood, and grass. Pelletco provides heat from wood pellets to businesses, schools, libraries, town offices, condominiums and other customers across the Northeast. Our unique approach allows our customers to convert from fossil fuels to wood pellets with no up front capital cost. Pelletco sources the materials it uses locally near the customer’s location. This reduces transportation costs, emissions and ultimately, its carbon footprint on the earth. Co –founders, Bilodeau and Knight have proven track records, bring a wealth of knowledge, and a combined 80+ years of relevant experience to Pelletco. Additionally, Pelletco benefits from an alliance with the University of Maine, one of the preeminent forest products research centers in North America. Through the University, Pelletco has access to leaders in the paper and wood products industry who are major biomass energy users. Pelletco has a strategic partnerships with Clean Feet Investors, Site Based Energy, SGC Engineering, and is a member of the Biomass Thermal Energy Council, E2Tech, New York Biomass Energy Alliance, NH Wood Energy Council, Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility and Renewable Energy Vermont.
