DME is a startup company that is commercializing new medical technology to help physicians diagnose and select the best treatment (personalized medicine) for patients with mental illness. The first commercial application will be for depression. The technology is simple, inexpensive and easily scalable. Pilot studies have shown 90% concordance with trained psychiatrist in terms of diagnosis and an ability to select an effective treatment 85% of the time versus 35% using the current standard of care (serial trial and error). We are currently seeking a seed round of $500k to establish the business and begin the commercialization process.
