First Impression Ironworks (FIIW) is America's leading manufacturer and installer of custom iron doors, gates, and railings for homes, backed by Digital Fuel Capital (DFC), a Boston-based PE firm with 39+ investments and deep e-commerce and operating expertise. We're acquiring residential iron and architectural steel businesses — manufacturers, fabricators, dealers, and installers — doing $5M–$50M in revenue, nationwide with a focus on the Sunbelt (CA, FL, TX, the Carolinas, AZ, NV, GA, TN). DFC acquired FIIW in 2021 and has scaled it nationally, including the December 2024 acquisition of Presidio Steel Doors in Austin, TX. We offer founders flexible structures — full sale, majority recap, partnership, or seller financing — and preserve the brand, team, and reputation you've built. Ideally the businesses we are looking for manufacture products and sell direct to consumers.
