Apollo Rock Capital is an independent sponsor looking to acquire and partner with a high quality lower middle market business. I personally started out my career in the corporate world as an engineer and eventually worked at various investment firms in New York City focusing on services and technology companies across both public and private equity. I am looking at companies with up to $3m of EBITDA focused on sectors I have experience investing in (service and software businesses). I am investing my own capital alongside a dozen investors who have agreed to back me at Apollo Rock. These are investors that I have strong relationships with and have worked with over the years who trust my process and wanted to back me as I spun out on my own. I like recurring revenue businesses that have healthy customer retention rates in industry verticals that have secular tailwinds which enable the company to have healthy organic growth. While M&A is a key component of growth, I view it as secondary to the organic growth inherent in the business itself. I am flexible on industries and geographically focused in Texas initially.
